What is your fee for new locks? This varies depending on the type of lock and the security standard it is made to. As an ex-joiner I fit new locks with care and precision and am an expert at this. I have fitted thousands of locks over the course of my career and I take great pride in doing a first class job . I can make recommendations on the best solution and supply and fit what you require. Everything from straightforward like for like replacements to serious upgrades to your security - I don't charge for call outs and am happy to visit your premises to discuss options with you. What is the best type of lock? A 5 lever, British Standard mortice deadlock is an outstanding lock that when fitted correctly will provide for considerable security. Insurance companies and the police recommend these types of locks.
UPVC DOORS AND WINDOWS SERVICED
What is a UPVC door service? When I service UPVC multipoint mechanisms I strip them down, degrease and clean them and then degrease. I then adjust the hinges on UPVC doors and realign them with he frame. The final part is to make adjustments to the keeps to ensure the correct balance of handle torque and draught seal compression. Should your multipoint lock need a new gearbox I carry an extensive range of stock to repair many locks onsite without the need for a revisit. What is a UPVC window service? I remove the multipoint mechanism and grease it. Clean the keeps on the window frame and lubricate the friction stays. If you have a door that doesn't lock right or a window that is difficult to operate this is exactly the sort of problem I fix. What is your fee for gaining entry or opening a door when you are locked out in an emergency? What I charge for gaining entry depends on the type of lock and I am happy to give a price over the phone if the lock is accurately described or a photograph is sent. I will get you in quickly, especially if you are locked out in Bexhill or locked out in St Leonards on sea or locked out in Hastings. This is because I live in Bexhill - I am not a national company or call centre. I will open your doors quickly and without fuss or damage - unless it is a mortice lock with lost keys, which I would drill. My policy is to gain entry without damage wherever possible. I give lockouts priority and aim to be with you in under an hour, often much sooner. My record recently was 3 minutes as I was one street away. Usually it is about 15 minutes, as with customer's consent I make break away for fitting a new lock and return after I have got the locked out person in.

KEY SAFES
NEVER BE WITHOUT KEYS
What is the best key safe? I fit police recommended, Secured by Design key safes by Burton and SUPRA. I really like the Supra C500 PRO. It is a heavy, solid lump with big high security fixings. These are very strong key-safes and designed to be at least as secure as a good front door with good locks. I don't fit cheap poor quality key safes that you can buy for £20 or £30, as these leave homes vulnerable and are an easy way in for uninvited guests. The dial types are nearly as bad as leaving your front door key under the mat!
