About me

I was a bench joiner for 25 years - I made all of the joinery you find in buildings from scratch using rough sawn timber to produce beautiful joinery. I then hung the doors and windows, applied finishes, glazed them and fitted the locks and furniture. I have worked with all types of locks throughout my career, including multipoint locks, mortice locks and night latches.

My joinery background gave me extensive experience of doors and windows and all of the issues they and their locks can have, as well as how to remedy them. I know multipoint locks inside and out.

​

I later trained as a City & Guilds NCFE level 3 locksmith and I love my job. I enjoy fitting locks and finding solutions. Gaining entry is a thrill to open locked doors and help people when they are in trouble - the more difficult the lock the greater the thrill.

I love country walks and spending time in nature - I am very passionate about nature. Meeting new people makes my job interesting and fun - I love the random conversations and connections I make with people, and as an animal lover meeting their pets is a wonderful bonus too.
